Kees Visser at Neskirkja Church

On Sunday 18th of February will open an exhibition in Neskirkja Church of a series of 14 paintings by KEES VISSER, CRUX. The opening takes place directly after mass which begins at 11.

Alongside the exhibition, BERG Contemporary will have on display sketches in direct correlation to the paintings on the upper floor of the gallery.

On Good Friday, March 30th at 12:30 pm, Dr. Halldór Björn Runólfsson will lead an a conversation on the works at the church’s congregation hall.

Trajectories performed at National Sawdust

Trajectories, a collaborative work by SIGURÐUR GUÐJÓNSSON & Icelandic composer Anna Þorvaldsdóttir, will be performed at National Sawdust on May 27th. Trajectories is a piece for piano and video, consisting of three-channel HD video and stereo sound. Warp by STEINA exhibited at The Current

Warp, a video piece by STEINA from 2000, will be exhibited at The Current Museum of Art in New York for a special salon event on May 23rd. Warp sees STEINA’S long-running investigations into video-effects technology and performance come together in a tape, in which she slowly approaches the camera, her body warping this way

Four BERG Contemporary artists at Rome Media Art Festival

Four of BERG Contemporary’s artists will be presenting their work at this year’s Media Art Festival in Rome. STEINA, WOODY VASULKA, SIGURÐUR GUÐJÓNSSON and DODDA MAGGÝ will all be presenting some of their video works at the festival which is being held between 17th and 19th May at MAXXI museum and other venues.
