MYND by Steina at Whitney

Steina’s 2000 video installation MYND will be presented at the Whitney Museum of American Art in New York. The exhibition Programmed: Rules, Codes and Choreographies in Art, 1965-2018 will open on September 28th 2018 and runs until April 14th 2019. „Programmed: Rules, Codes, and Choreographies in Art, 1965–2018 establishes connections between works of art based on instructions, spanning over fifty years of conceptual, video, and computational art.“

Sigurður Guðjónsson to collaborate with Mónica Bello for the Pavilion of Iceland

The Icelandic Art Center has now announced that Sigurður Guðjónsson, Iceland’s chosen artist representation at the 59th Venice Biennale (April 23–November 27, 2022), will collaborate with curator Mónica Bello to realize his project for the Pavilion of Iceland, which will be located in the Arsenale for the first time. On March 27th, a new group exhibition opens at Kjarvalsstaðir – Reykjavík Art Museum, connecting works by contemporary Icelandic artists with the works of the iconic painter Jóhannes S. Kjarval (1885-1972). The exhibition, Eternal Recurrence, features, among other artists, works by Katrín Elvarsdóttir, Sigurður Guðjónsson and Steina. Eternal Recurrence will be open to the public
