STEINA and SIGURÐUR GUÐJÓNSSON AT IFF, MESSAGE TO MAN

Opening on Saturday, September 15th at Museum of the History of Photography in St. Petersburg, the 2019 edition of IFF, Message to man features BERG Contemporary artists Sigurður Guðjónsson and Steina.

A tentative and ambiguous point of departure, this exhibition, which is presented alongside a five-part film programme representing film and video art from the Nordic countries, looks at landscapes, their topographical representation and personal interpretations, through the lens of four Icelandic artists. Currently on view, Steina’s work, Lava and Moss (2000) is featured, as well as Sigurður’s Guðjónsson’s Veil (2012).
