Finnbogi Pétursson author of Kærleikskúlan 2020

Finnbogi Pétursson is the author of Kærleikskúlan 2020.

Titled ‘ÞÖGN’, it holds a moment of recorded silence. One second on one meter of tape. The recording was made at Arnarstapi in the year of 1986, in the middle of the night, between 3 and 4 pm. It’s the moment when the world goes quiet; the birds, the sea, the wind and the sheep, even the flies. The moment when nature re-sets itself and a new day begins.

All proceeds go to a charity that supports paralyzed and disabled individuals in Iceland. Head to www.kaerleikskulan.is, to learn more about how you can support this one of a kind project or send us a line at gallery@bergcontemporary.is
