SIGURÐUR GUÐJÓNSSON, STEINA AND WOODY VASULKA AT FRIEZE’S NO.9 CORK STREET

BERG Contemporary is proud to present a new exhibition at Frieze’s NO.9 Cork Street in Mayfair, London, which brings together video artists from two different generations, whose work investigates the materiality of technological devices and the nature of electronic sound and imagery. It pairs video art revolutionaries, Steina and Woody Vasulka, who were among the first to consider the electronic signal as an artistic medium with Sigurður Guðjónsson, an artist gaining recognition for striking time-based media works, who will soon represent Iceland at the 59th Venice Biennale.

The exhibition is free to the public and will run from 10 March to 26 March 2022. It will be accompanied by an artist talk between Sigurður Guðjónsson and Mónica Bello, Curator of the Icelandic Pavilion and Head of Arts at the CERN European Organization for Nuclear Research in Geneva, which will take place on 24 March 2022.
