Rósa Gísladóttir studied fine arts at The Icelandic College of Art and Crafts, graduating in 1981. She received a diploma from the sculpture department of Akademie der Bildenden Künste in München in 1986, a master’s degree in fine arts from the Manchester Metropolitan University in 2002 and completed a M.Art.Ed. degree from the Iceland Academy of the Arts in 2014. Rósa Gísladóttir has had numerous solo exhibitions in Iceland and abroad, she has shown her work in Rome, Ravenna, Bonn, Krefeld, Frauenfeld, Manchester, Saatchi Gallery in London and Scandinavia House Gallery in New York. Her works are in public collections including the Reykjavík Art Museum, The National Gallery of Iceland and the Icelandair Art Collection.
