Finnbogi Pétursson at Schafhof, European Center for Art, Germany
April 16, 2024
Finnbogi Pétursson premieres his new work Hertz (2024) at Schafhof - The European Art Forum of the District Council of Upper Bavaria, Freising, Germany on 20 April.

For the hall located on the first floor of the Schafhof in Freising, Finnbogi Pétursson has prepared a monumental installation dedicated to the legacy of the important German physicist Heinrich Hertz, who died exactly 130 years ago in 1894. The artist concentrates on the study and exploitation of the potential of their movement and temporality, using their basic forms – sine, triangular and square – as scores on the basis of which he models the dynamic environment of individual installations.
