Curated by Ingunn Fjóla Ingþórsdóttir, Murr is an exhibition of works by contemporary Icelandic artists focusing on compulsive working methods in art; repetition, rules and hyper-concentration, among them being Bjarni H. Þórarinsson.
The exhibition opens on June 6 at 17.00 in Hafnarhús and will feature new and recent works by a diverse group of artists. The works reflect a great breadth of content, grappling with autobiographical subjects, profound pain and death, alongside the poetics of the everyday, repetitions and rhythms in daily routines, abstract forms and systems. The works are created in diverse media; paintings, drawings, video works and performances.
