Þórdís Erla Zoëga selected for Landspítali University Hospital commission

Þórdís Erla Zoëga has been selected for a commissioned art installation to be implemented in Sóleyjartorg by the new Landspítali University Hospital.
The winning proposal is titled Upphaf and we congratulate Zoëga on her upcoming work.
Two other proposals received special recognition by the selecting committee, including Haraldur Jónsson's proposal in collaboration with Anna María Bogadóttir.
A total of 51 applications for participation were received and the pre-selection committee chose six artists from the submitted applications to participate in a closed part of the competition. Four of them were BERG Contemporary artists, Rósa Gísladóttir and Sigurður Guðjónsson, as well as Jónsson and Zoëga.
